TRAFFIC FAQ - VIACOM MEDIA NETWORKS (VMN)

When can copy revisions be implemented?

Copy revisions can be made for the next available log.  We require spots and clearance to be in place when the revision is made.  For any urgent requests, please reach out to VMN_Copy_MGMT@viacom.com.

Can VMN reuse or recycle ISCIS/Ad-IDs that have been purged or will not air again?

Even after a spot is purged, the ISCI/Ad-ID remains in our system. For legal reasons, VMN needs to retain access to this information. We cannot jeopardize the integrity of the networks by taking a chance that the wrong spot may air. For this reason, please provide a new ISCI/Ad-ID for all new spots

When do commercials need to be delivered for air?

Commercials should be delivered 5 business days prior to first air date. Commercials should be cleared by S&P before they are sent to the NOC for air.

Why are there different log schedules for all of the Viacom Media networks?

Even though all Viacom Media networks fall under the same umbrella their log schedules are set up according to that network's business. Program changes, sellout levels and Kid Vid can all impact the log schedules  However most of the schedules are similar.

Do we need to send separate spots for each network even though it's the same commercial?

No. VMN shares spots across all networks.

What are VMN's clearance guidelines?

On this website, you will find a section that describes in detail what VMN requires for air materials.

When are logs accelerated?

The following holidays will always require a log schedule to be accelerated:

New Year's Day
President's Day
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas

Many of these holidays will require a more heavily accelerated schedule than others. Please see below for next accelerated schedule.
